Expenses & Financial Reports

Track business expenses, view financial reports, and export data for accounting.

Tip: Expense tracking and financial reports are available for Restaurant, Shop, and Reservation accounts. Navigate to the Finance section in your sidebar.

Expense Tracking

Track all your business expenses in one place. Access expenses from the Finance > Expenses section in the sidebar.

Expenses list

Adding an Expense

  1. Click Add Expense in the top right.
  2. Fill in the expense details:
    • Description — What the expense is for (e.g., "Monthly Rent", "Electricity Bill").
    • Amount — The expense amount in your currency.
    • Category — Select from predefined categories or create custom ones.
    • Date — When the expense occurred.
    • Notes — Optional additional details.
  3. Click Save Expense.

Default Categories

When you first access expenses, 7 default categories are created automatically:

Rent 🏠 Office/store/warehouse rent
Payroll 👥 Employee salaries, wages
Equipment 🔧 Tools, machinery, repairs

Other Miscellaneous expenses

Filtering Expenses

Use the filters at the top of the expenses page:

  • Search — Find expenses by description.
  • Category — Filter by expense category.
  • Date Range — View expenses for a specific period.

The Total Expenses card updates automatically based on your active filters.

Financial Reports

Access reports from the Finance > Reports section. Reports give you a complete overview of your financial performance.

Period Selection

Choose a reporting period:

  • Today — Current day's data
  • This Week — Current week
  • This Month — Current month (default)
  • This Year — Year-to-date
  • Custom Range — Pick specific start and end dates

Revenue Summary

Shows key metrics from paid orders (sandbox orders are excluded):

  • Total Revenue — Sum of all paid orders
  • Total Orders/Bookings — Number of completed transactions
  • Average Order Value — Revenue divided by order count
  • vs Previous Period — Percentage change compared to the previous equivalent period

Expense Summary

Shows your expenses broken down by category for the selected period. Each category displays its total amount, helping you identify where your money goes.

Profit & Loss

A clear breakdown of your financial position:

  • Revenue (green) — Total income from orders
  • Expenses (red) — Total business expenses
  • Net Profit — Revenue minus expenses
  • Profit Margin — Net profit as a percentage of revenue

CSV Export

Click Export CSV to download your financial data. The export includes:

  • All revenue entries (order number, customer, date, amount)
  • All expense entries (description, category, date, amount)

Use this for your accounting software or tax reporting.

ZATCA Compliance

For businesses operating in Saudi Arabia, invoices include ZATCA-compliant QR codes when a VAT number is configured in your settings. See Shop Settings or Restaurant Settings for setup instructions.
